To make sure whether it was really possible to play Minecraft with a friend via Hamachi over the network, I specifically downloaded a demo version of the game from the official website and tried to play it myself. It turned out to be very simple, the setup did not take much time, I prepared instructions, following all the steps of which you will be able to play Minecraft through Hamachi (or rather, through the virtual local network that the program creates).
Step 1
Launch Hamachi (you can download the latest version of the program) and create a new virtual network. To do this, launch the program and click on the “ Turn on».
Click on the button " Create a new network»or select this item through the top menu.
Create a network ID (it must be unique) and a password (remember it!), and click " Create».
Step 2
Launch the Minecraft launcher and click the " Play" I show on the demo version:
In the game, press the " ESC" and click on the button " Open for the web».
In the next window, click on " Open the world to the network».
After this, information will appear that the local server is running on the port " number such and such" Write down the port number; if you don’t do this, you won’t be able to play Minecraft via Hamachi with a friend (he will need the port number when connecting).
Step 3
Your friend should now connect to you. He needs to launch Hamachi (register in it if he has not done so before), click on the button Turn on»
and through the menu select “ Net» - « Connect to an existing network».
In the window that opens, he needs to enter your network ID and password (tell him this data).
Once it connects, it needs to copy your IP address from the Hamachi window. To do this, right-click on your login and select “ Copy IPv4 address».
After that, to see the copied IP address, paste it into any text editor.
Step 4
Now everything is ready to play Minecraft using Hamachi. Your friend needs to launch the game and connect to you. To do this, through the menu, let him go to “ Online game» - « Direct connection" and enter the copied IP address and, separated by a colon, the port that was shown in the launcher when creating a local server (instructions). The entry must be in the format IP:port.

First, download the Hamachi program (you and your “friend” must have the same versions)
Program installation:
1.Launch HamachiSetup. Click next.
2.Accept the agreement by checking the box. Click next.
3. Specify the location where Hamachi will be installed, choose to add an icon to the desktop and download according to your taste.
4.Hamachi along with Windows boot. Click next.
5.Tick the "Block vulnerable services for Hamachi connections" checkbox. Click next.
6.Select Use Hamachi with Non-commercial license. Click next.
7.Click INSTALL. We wait for a message about successful installation and click next.
Setting up Hamachi for XP:
1.Start Settings - Open Network Connections so that the folder opens...
At the top, click on additional --- Additional Options..
2. Make sure that Hamachi is the very first on the list!!!

3. Disable the Firewall (or add the program to exceptions) and Anti-Virus (sometimes it helps).

Setting up Hamachi for Vista:
1. Start - Control Panel
2. Control Panel - Network and Sharing Center
3. Network and Sharing Center - Changing adapter settings (Network connections)
4. Press Alt and a menu will appear at the top
5. Advanced - additional options
6. Using the arrows, move the Hamachi network to the top
7. Click ok - return to network connections
8. You don’t have to configure it (only for those who didn’t find the first part helpful). Leave it in connection properties
get an IP address automatically, turn off the firewall and reboot.
Please note that if you do not set hamachi priority, nothing will work in the game!!!
In Hamachi itself, go to the settings:
1. Status -> Detailed settings
2. Connection via proxy -> set the value to “Do not use”
3. Connection via NAT -> UDP port set to 1337, TCP 7777

Let's get to the exciting part. creating a network through hamachi:
1. Click on the “Enable” button (connection in progress)
2. set the computer name (then you should see the permanent IP issued to you in the program)
3. click "create or enter an existing network"
4. Now we create a network (room) to which your “friends” will connect
5. Set the name of the network (room)
6. If you connect to a room, enter the name of the existing network and password accordingly
7. If all points are completed correctly, you and your friends should be indicated by green stars in the list
8. Go to the game -> Click "Local network" -> "Create a game" !!!Your friends must have you in the list of local games!!!
